Puxsutawney, Pa

On the way home from Cleveland, went through Puxsutawney, Pennsylvania.  It is the famous sight that every year on Groundhog Day, Puxsutawney Phil is taken out of his burrow and predicts how long the winter will be. It also the town that the film Groundhog Day is supposed to take place.

Appomattox Court House

I took a weekend off from work and Jon decided that we were going to go to the Bristol Race in Tennessee. We decided to stay in Roanoke, Virginia which is about two hours from Bristol. We wanted to to visit a few sights while we were in the area and we went to Appomattox Court House, where Lee's Army surrendered at the end of the Civil War.  Courthouse in Appomattox Court House. I learned that the name of the town is Appomattox Court House but nothing actually took place in this building. This is the back of the building. Front of the Courthouse.
