Welcome.

Jon's advisor is Korean and he teaches at KAIST University in Korea as well as the University of Maryland. On of his Korean students was invited to spend six months in the United States. She arrived in the States on the 20th of February so on the 27th, we took her to DC to see the sights. We all met in DC and we went to the Natural History Museum.

We had a great time and enjoyed spending time as a group.

Appomattox Court House

I took a weekend off from work and Jon decided that we were going to go to the Bristol Race in Tennessee. We decided to stay in Roanoke, Virginia which is about two hours from Bristol. We wanted to to visit a few sights while we were in the area and we went to Appomattox Court House, where Lee's Army surrendered at the end of the Civil War.  Courthouse in Appomattox Court House. I learned that the name of the town is Appomattox Court House but nothing actually took place in this building. This is the back of the building. Front of the Courthouse.
