Turkey Piont

Jon and I decided to go to Turkey Point to see the Lighthouse. Turkey Point is North East of Baltimore. It is a Chesapeake Bay Lighthouse. Its about a mile hike from the parking lot to the lighthouse. This is our first look at the Bay from the trail.

Appomattox Court House

I took a weekend off from work and Jon decided that we were going to go to the Bristol Race in Tennessee. We decided to stay in Roanoke, Virginia which is about two hours from Bristol. We wanted to to visit a few sights while we were in the area and we went to Appomattox Court House, where Lee's Army surrendered at the end of the Civil War.  Courthouse in Appomattox Court House. I learned that the name of the town is Appomattox Court House but nothing actually took place in this building. This is the back of the building. Front of the Courthouse.
